Who’s the Target Audience
Who would find this object irresistible? Get specific. (Young professionals obsessed with poking people, Eco-conscious parents, Nostalgia-loving-clean-freaks millennials, etc.)

Aesthetic Cohesion:
Use colors, typography, and layout to appeal to your target audience and enhance the object’s perceived value.
CONSIDERATIONS:
Do some Benchmarking
In other words, do research to get yourself going. Take a stroll through the world of everyday marketing. I hear google is pretty cool for this sort of stuff:) Check out design, packaging, advertising award websites that showcase excellence. Particularly look at product and service ads that focus on design and messaging. (Both Business to Consumer and Business to business)
Add a Dash of Humor, Wit or Emotion
Kinda self explanatory.
Go Big or Go Home
Magnify the object or reimagine its context. Explore dramatic compositions, dynamic angles, unexpected juxtapositions, white Space and scale shifts in image and text..
Stress-Test Your Pitch
Does the copy grab attention? Does it clearly communicate why the audience needs this object?
